Stress causing hair to fall out is a common wives’s tale. The truth is that gray hair is hair that has lost its melanin (the cells that provides color to hair strands). This is common in people on certain medications, people who have lost their hair to cancer and people who’s body have gone through a dramatic change. This is also common in people with darker skin and hair due to their ethnicity’s. This may also be genetic. Although there is really no cure using a semi permanant color on your hair that is close to your natural shade every month will cover the grays without you having to worry about grow out

I guess I should be asking the same question. I got my first gray hair at about 20 yrs old, and now (45) I am mostly gray.

Here’s an important thing to remember: it is better for your hair to turn gray than to turn loose!

Stress is causing it, there is no miracle cure, just try to relax more often and possibly start dying your hair.
