The Plucking Gray Hair Myth

Just as the myth about pulling out thinning hair will lead to stronger thicker hair growing in its place, the plucking gray hair myth has been around for centuries, and no matter how many times people try to disprove it there are men and women who insist that it’s true.

Most people when they spot a stray gray hair will be tempted to pluck it out.  But plenty of them decide not to go about plucking gray hair out because they are worried that even more will grow in place of the ones removed.

However, in all honesty plucking gray hair won’t actually cause more to grow in their place.  The only reason people say this is because once they have plucked out the first few they start to notice even more gray hairs have begun to appear.

In fact what they don’t realize is that it is other things that are causing even more gray hairs to appear than before.  Perhaps it’s better to be asking why does hair turn gray instead.

Although stress can often cause hair to go gray it isn’t the main reason.  In fact the main reason for your hair turning grey is heredity.  Therefore if your parents went gray then of course the chances of you going gray is very high as well.

Perhaps the easiest solution rather than attempting to pluck out grey hair is to use something that is pain free and works in a natural way.

used asked:

If you are young and you find out that you have one or two gray hairs on top of your head or beard, can you try to eliminate it by plucking them?

Is it a myth or is it true that if you pluck a gray hair, a lot more appear?

Someone told me that they tried it and the hair never grew back again, is that true?

I wouldn’t think they would. With that said though, I think another gray hair would grow up right where you plucked the first one. If you have gray hair, no big deal, lots of people do.

If you really hate it then you can find a better gray hair cure than plucking them, coz it must hurt a lot when you pull them out.
