Basically i have platinum blonde hair ( veryy close to albino white) and my natural colour is very dark brown ( obv i bleached my hair several times) and i want to go darker, because i keep getting roots. I want my blue black to be VERY blue, like a midnight navy blue really. But i’m scared it’ll go green/grey? what can i do to prevent this?

Cover Grey Hair
For such a dramatic change I would not attempt to do this yourself, see a professional hair stylist and see what they suggest.
Cover Grey Hair
I am a brunette who had platinum blonde hair for years! First, let me say, it is very important to consult a professional. When I decided to go back to my natural color, my hair stylist used a filler before coloring my hair.
Because you’ve been bleaching for so long, your hair is dead and porous (which is why it stays wet forever) and won’t hold color the way it is. So you need to fill it first so that the color has something to grab onto.
…And don’t be surprised if you have to dye your hair multiple times to get the desired affect because, even with the filler, your formerly platinum hair will fade much faster than regular hair. I had to dye mine three times over 2 months!
Another great tip during this process is to get dark towels and a dark pillow case. My white bath robe and bath mats didn’t survive the trip.
Hope this helps!!
