Facial Hair/Pimples?

Okay first, will having pimples on my face prevent facial hair from growing out? The pimples that i have are not white spots nor black spots but sort of grey spots leveled with my skin that can be pumped out.

Second, I have a lot of black heads on my nose that look like they’ll never clear off, will they? Im 18…also my nose sometimes looks oily.

Third, I bought proactive once and always used the thrid step before the second step (Didn’t know) and I didnt use it a lot but it did not help…I want to buy it again but I don’t know if it works, does it?

Forth, about the proactive, I had a dermatologist who gave my a few medications to use daily and i used to go every 2 weeks (where he’d rub somethings on my face) and I used it every day and from what I remember I think it worked but not sure. (I would feel better using it) He gave me a cream called benzoyl peroxide, a liquid that I spread on my face which I think has alcohol, and pills I’d take daily…should I buy all those….
or buy proactive and buy the pills from the dermatologist?

In other words, Is proactive good?

also my face does not have too many pimples it just red in most areas.

Lastly, will tanning (Im kind pail) do anything better?

try buying some nivea (is that how u spell it) creme… - the one with little pink microscopic balls - you have to put it on your face (NOT TOO MUCH - though i do but not at once) spread it well then use a towel and use it to rub on the skin (do it hard thats the whole point!)…umm… dont put the towel all over your face, but use two fingers to rub part of the towel on your face - then wash thorolly (DAMM FORGOT THE SPELLING !) and dry face with towel (not like using creme but uno…)

Meh im 16 and have a problem very similar and the creme has decreased the problem from elevating to a…..infinite level…

BTW! do not put saliva cause u may think it is an anesthetic but its alkaline (and thats wat pimples are)

    Gray Hair Remedy

I’m not sure about the facial hair thing… I’m a girl.

Blackheads are tricky, my favorite way to get rid of them is to mix equal parts of water and baking soda in my hands to make a paste and rub it over the affected areas. Some blackheads will disappear, for the stubborn ones you may need to extract them, which you can do with a small metal tool thing that you can buy at Target for a few bucks.

But in my teen years I was very happy with the results that Proactiv gave me! I would say try that before going on any meds from your dermatologist.

    Good Luck!

dont use maxi peel its really gross it peels off all the skin on your face!!! and proactive works cause i used it and also used the benz.. peroxide and liquid stuff from the doctors and that works too. but i think that proactive only had 3% Benzoyl Peroxide and the stuff from the dermatologist has 5%.

anyways i personally think that the dermatologist stuff works better cause for me it worked faster

Um….WHOA! That’s alot to answer! Haha, but I will try my best~ ^.^

I’m 14. (It feels weird giving advice to someone who’s college-aged). I don’t really think having pimples will prevent the growth of facial hair. Blackheads suck! What causes them is dirt and oil that gets clogged in your pores, then trapped below the skin. So….exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate! XD There are plenty o’ products out there to achieve this, but I’d suggest using an all-natural sugar scrub (just search for recipes in google). If you use it once or twice a day it can really help clear away dead skin and your pores should be looking much cleaner. I had an acne wash and it didn’t help, and I believe it contained the same active ingredient as ProActive (salicylic acid, right? or does proactive have benzoyl peroxide? both are acne killers - HOWEVER - salicylic acid has the concern of causing birth defects and such {visit cosmeticsdatabase.com for info}. It’s not that dangerous, but still, I’ve stopped using it.)

Finally, don’t invest in all that stuff! 2 out of the three things may be ineffective, which would be a waste of money. The pills, however, are worth trying; just make sure you don’t drink alcohol while taking them.

Getting rid of facial hair: there’s so many ways! For stray eyebrow hairs, tweeze. For upper lip hair, waxing is common but painful [the non-painful ways are depilatories, laser removal and very careful shaving]. And for the rest of your face, I’d just shave.

Getting rid or your oily nose: carry around blotting papers in your bag! I think they’re about $3 or $4. Then, dust on some pressed powder, which will really get rid of the shine. =]

    Gray Hair Causes

The combination of Tea Tree Oil soap and the Clindamycin cream is the best for Acne and pimple. These work wonders. Maybe it will work on you too.
Try searching it through Google ’shopaholic’s bargains’
