I’m 27 and starting to find the sporadic gray hair on my head (I have dark hair). They really stand out.
When I see them, I pluck them.
I have never found a 1/2 gray hair (I have a mop of hair). This leads me to believe you could never get a 1/2 gray hair.
So what happens?
Yes you can get a half grey hair. My father gets them a lot especially on his eyebrows (ha ha). What happens is the hair starts growing without the pigment but then halfway through the growth of the hair it switches to pigmented proteins which are what makes up hair (that and sulfur).
