Grey Hair Dye
If you would like to cover your
grey hair without the use of poisonous
chemicals and treatments, try coloring the greys with a natural hair dye.
The hair dye can be made at home. Greys will blend in with the surrounding
hair more and more with each application. The easiest homemade dye can be made by simmering half
a cup of dried sage in two cups of water for half and hour, and then
steeping the tea for several hours. The hair dying procedure is equally simple. Hold your
head over a large bowl or plastic basin. Pour the dye over it about fifteen
times, reusing the same liquid. After the final rinse, the hair should be
saturated with the dye. Let the herbal dye dry onto the hair before rinsing
with clear water. For best results, repeat this dying procedure on a weekly
basis. Greys will fade away slowly but surely. You can also make a daily herbal hair dye for by adding
some rosemary to the sage dye described above. Spray it into the grey hair
about five to ten minutes before each shampoo. You may refrigerate the
liquid until it is needed. The greys will “dye out” (every pun intended)
gradually. The result is natural-looking hair. |
